Online marketing facilities are aplenty now, and most of the mouse potatoes are clicking onto it for anything and everything they want to know regardless of products or services. Now situation has reached a point where most of the big groups and MNCs have started using web marketing as the best means of marketing their products and services. Following the footsteps of others legal professional have also now started taking the help of web marketing professional and SEO experts to get their pages displayed at the premium position of search engines. This is undoubtedly the most modern method of effective marketing any service or product. The lawyers will surely get more client traffic through this new innovative, method of Attorney Marketing. But when we delve in to it a little deeper we might end up taking a decision to stay away with it due to certain practical problems that are attached to it.

They are as following;

If an attorney is practicing in a remote area where major lot of clients may not be in a position to have access to the internet and illiterate about the most modern techniques, it is always better to choose offline marketing methods like print media such as yellow pages, leading dailies etc to have more accessibility to this/her clients.

Since most of the attorneys are running after the IT techniques for marketing themselves, the offline advertisers are found to be very less, and if an attorney markets him through that medium, he/she may get noticed by the clients.

Attorney Marketing is not just showing off the lawyers abilities only through digital media it is something more than that. Law firms and lawyers who organize other marketing functions such as seminars, talks can have more acceptability among the client crowd. These marketing techniques will never become outdated. Rather it would give n opportunity to the attorneys to become more personal to their clients.

Offline legal marketing gives the attorneys to be more present in the society than being on line. As we all know internet sites and all are a little anonymous at times. Whereas offline advertisements in print media will instill more amount of confident in customers mind and that too directly. Your local presence with a full fledged office, and reliable staff members in your city itself are an effective marketing point, and that is the on which is more lasting than their online presence.

So even in this electronic world, traditional marketing media and its techniques have its own importance and value in attorney marketing. It would be more personal than online marketing strategies. An attorney can speak directly to his/her clients through offline marketing and clients will feel more comfortable if they get a chance to see an attorney in person than viewing them online.

Attorneys can resort to different media of advertising for offline marketing as we mentioned earlier and it still work wonders to enhance their business by luring clients to them by way off News paper advertisements, broaches and direct mails even.

Although often marred in dysfunction, corruption, and strife; the Bangladesh government stands as one of the only democratically elected Muslin countries in the world. The political system functions as a parliamentary democracy that holds open elections for all citizens over 18 years of age. While the political system continues to adapt, Bangladesh still operates under its original constitution signed after their 1971 independence.
Every five years, the 345-member Bangladesh unicameral parliament opens for free elections with a political system in place that reserves 45 seats for women. The controlling party then votes for the President, the largely symbolic head of Bangladesh. Following the presidential election, the individual selects a Prime Minister from the parliamentary body to assume the most prominent position of the Bangladesh political system. The Prime Minister then selects his cabinet members and ministers to be appointed by the President.

The Bangladesh political system consists of two main parties lending this type of unicameral representation to constant political posturing. For one reason or another, the two main political parties seem to cede or gain power every five years, causing the majority party to control nearly the entire political system. The post-election focus of Bangladesh leaders becomes payback for the previous five years of oppressive rule, instead of harboring national unity. The newly oppressed minority lash out at the controlling party appealing to public sentiment and solidifying their base. Since the winning party controls the entire Bangladesh political system, there are no doctrinal necessities for working with the other party. An interesting nuance to Bangladesh’s transfer of power, a precursory transfer to a civil body after a five-year term, reduces the chance for electoral fraud and upholds the integrity of the larger political system.

Bangladesh became a sovereign country in 1971, whereby defeating West Pakistan, they enacted their political system the following year. The Constitution of Bangladesh contains 11 articles that develop not just the Bangladesh political system but the nation’s core political ideology. Since the signing of the Constitution, the document underwent 14 amendments that attempted to strengthen the political system and its ability to govern. Even with the uprisings and political strife, the nation has held together under the 1972 Constitution of Bangladesh till today besides an 8 year military rule in the 1980s.

Winston Churchill famously stated that “democracy is the worst form of government, besides all the others.” This is not to say Bangladesh should accept corruption and dissidence, but rather, understand that the democratic political system has no end result. It requires each generation to evaluate the political system and reinvent it as necessary. In this light, the Bangladesh political system continues as a work in progress that appears stronger today than ever before.

The almost two year transfer period witnessed large numbers of corruption related arrests, displaying the full-extent of the political issues facing Bangladesh. The temporary government held open elections in December of 2008 hoping for a future where Bangladesh leader can work together to tackle political issues.

The election results marked an enormous win for the Bangladesh Awami league and Sheikh Hasina began her second non-consecutive term as Prime Minister. The recent electoral success reinstated the Bangladesh parliamentary democracy and equipped the nation with more civil ways to address political issues. The Bangladesh Awami league received a strong mandate by securing a landslide victory and quickly taking to the political issues of the day. The opposition party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Movement, pushed for a more Islamic conscious social life and many scholars view this loss as a knock against fundamental regimes.
In addition to the Bangladesh structural problems, the nation faces more pressing political issues like education and poverty. Children are only required to attend school until fifth grade and even with the loose educational mandate, many schools in poverty-stricken areas have abominable teacher to student rations and lack many necessary resources. Ending the cycle of poverty requires a national focus on education. In order to combat the numerous political issues that stem from poverty, Bangladesh needs to channel large resources into their education system.

Bangladesh also suffers from extreme over-population, causing numerous political issues. Although Bangladesh experienced a level of success lowering the poverty rate during the 1990s, overcrowding in metropolitan areas and a lack of resources in rural Bangladesh pose serious health risks.

Bangladesh is poised as a nation to enter the world scene in a big way. Their natural geographic benefits and recent restructuring of government suggest an upward trend for both economic and social well-being. Although the nation still faces serious political issues, the future remains promising for Bangladesh.

Functioning as a port city for centuries, Chittagong has natural geographic benefits making it a desirable city to control for aspiring empires and leaders. Chittagong experienced political turmoil for much of their recorded history forcing several rebuilding efforts, but the city appears to become stronger each time. The political benefits to controlling a port city are clear. Direct access to imports/exports, travel, and food, often makes ancient port cities like Chittagong contested territory. The early political history of Chittagong demonstrates the importance of controlling the port. Beyond the water boundary, Chittagong is also surrounded by inhospitable land terrain, making it easier for controlling political powers to protect their interests. The Mughal political system of overlords and subsidiaries maintained control of Chittagong until the British Empire eventually came to control the port city as their growing influence during the nineteenth and eighteenth centuries made this fate inevitable.
The political history of Chittagong, Bangladesh closely mirrors the similar political history of the greater South Asian sub-continent.
During the seventeenth century, the political control of Chittagong fell to the Mughal empire as much of the Indian sub-continent had during this period. The Mughal political system of overlords and subsidiaries maintained control of Chittagong until the British Empire eventually came to control the port city as their growing influence during the nineteenth and eighteenth centuries made this fate inevitable.

Throughout the nineteenth century, the people of Islamabad–the Mughals changed Chittagong’s name in the late 1600s–attempted several insurrections against the British crown. The most famous of these uprisings came to be known as the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Later, during the independence movements of the early 20th century, scholars viewed this uprising as the first break from British political control. Although the British suppressed this insurrection, news spread from Chittagong to the rest of the Indian sub-continent, causing separate cells of rebellion to spark throughout the region.

Chittagong remained an important vassal for the British crown, but many citizens supported the Non-Cooperation movements spreading through India. It remains unclear whether their direst was caused by political or religious fervor. Even though political control of Chittagong began to dwindle in the mid-20th century, the British utilized the city as an important military base during World War II. The Japanese pounded the city with constant air raids, devastating the Chittagong infrastructure. By the end of World War II British political and economic interests in the entire sub-continent quickly disappeared and they staged little rebuilding effort for the damaged city.

The following 20 years witnessed another Chittagong resurgence, until the war for Bangladesh liberation brought more death and destruction to Chittagong. After the war concluded, massive rebuilding efforts were directed to the city and this trend continues as Chittagong currently rates among the fastest growing cities in the world.

The social and political history of Chittagong tells a much bigger story that represents the greater Indian continent. Through constant strife and political malfeasance, Chittagong remained a powerful city for some fifteen centuries.

Bengali has been recognized as the official language of Bangladesh since its liberation in 1971. The measures taken in Bangladesh to protect Bengali during the 20th century illustrates its symbolic importance to the country’s national identity. Bengali developed as a dialectic language until its standardization in the nineteenth century. As a prominent language in one of the most populated regions in the world, Bengali is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Many languages influenced the evolution of the Bengali language, and it most heavily relates to Sanskrit. Linguists identify three periods in the progression of the language; Old Bengali, Middle Bengali, and New Bengali. Since Bengali adapted regionally rather than nationally, hundreds of local dialects existed for the south-Asian language until standardization attempts began in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Since many dialects still exist, regional Bengali could be incomprehensible to a Bengali speaker from another region. Modern interpretations of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh sometimes fail to see beyond geographic boundaries. In reality, citizens of the Indian sub-continent are more historically linked through religion and language than they are bound by nation lines. This helps to explain the several linguistic movements throughout India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. … Continue reading

Different religious and regional affiliations became identified by their chosen language and were hard-pressed to give up their traditions.

After the formation of West and East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) the Muslim government of Pakistan mandated that Urdu would be the national language, effectively banning Bengali from modern Bangladesh. Pakistan viewed Urdu as a Muslim language and as such, proper to represent the newly created Muslim state. Bangladesh, on the other hand, recognized Bengali as part of their regional history and refused to concede. Rather than identify with Pakistan as linked through Muslim beliefs, Bangladesh felt their sense of identity was defined more by regional affiliation and the attempted eradication of Bengali inspired East Pakistan’s nationalism.

In 1951 and 1952, the Bengali Language Movement inspired nationalist pride for a future Bangladesh. This feeling grew in intensity and culminated at a student protest where several people were slain for protesting against the national language. That day is now celebrated in Bangladesh on February 21st, and is known as International Mother Language Day.

In addition to Bangladesh, Bengali is one of the several recognized languages of India. The largest concentration of Bengali speakers outside of Bangladesh are in Assam and West Bengal in India, but the language has spread in large numbers to Europe and the American continents as well.

Bengali represents a strong symbol for the history of Bangladesh and embodies much of the country’s nationalistic tendencies. The constant shifting of borders and states throughout the sub-continent made language a strong representation of culture and this sentiment continues to exist today.

Students in Bangladesh have led major political movements and helped dictate the course of Bangladesh politics. Most recently, much of this activity in politics has turned violent, and students no longer inspire movements but encourage turmoil. The history of student involvement in Bangladesh politics dates back to the first nationalist movements of the former East Pakistan. The movement known as the Bengali Language Movement was led by student protesters refusing to give up their rights. As a result of growing tensions in Bangladesh surrounding the declaration of Urdu as the national language, governmental forces banned all public demonstrations. In 1952, student protests at Dhaka University challenging Pakistani politics led to police attacking the demonstrators and killing three students.
Bangladesh has a long history of intense student protest surrounding national politics. In 1952, student protests at Dhaka University challenging Pakistani politics led to police attacking the demonstrators and killing three students. Their death galvanized Bangladesh nationalism and started a long trend of student activism in politics.

It seems in recent years Bangladesh students have become as jaded by partisan politics as their fore bearers. Bangladesh student leaders tend to go back and forth between practical demonstration and inspiring mass violence. The politics of these student groups seem to be passed down from either prominent political party, demonstrating an obedience to party politics more than genuine grassroots demonstrations.

Regardless of the root of students’ activism in politics, these student leaders enter the Bangladesh national light quite often, with several becoming members of parliament. When opposition parties take office, they generally focus a large portion of their time on persecuting prominent members of the other Bangladesh parties and sadly, students are not free from this persecution. Student leaders involved in politics have been jailed without the constitutionally mandated trials for years at a time, while others have even been murdered in cold blood.
Since the recent restitution of Bangladesh government elections after widespread corruption, it appears some of the fanaticism in student politics has started to fade. However, when the army-backed interim government first disallowed political activity while they sorted out the rampant violence and corruption, students in Universities country-wide began to protest. Although the repression of rights by a governmental body should not be blindly accepted, the function of student politics morphed into violence. Active demonstration turned into extreme destruction as at least 200 individuals were hurt or killed and millions of dollars in property were destroyed.

The recent activities of student politics in Bangladesh is not indicative of a problem with youth, but rather, a lack of vision by elected officials. Possibly with good intentions, students function exactly as the ineffective party leaders and refuse to compromise. To break the cycle of a corrupt Bangladesh government, it must start with leaders instilling in students the need to work together towards a common goal.

The Bangladesh-India political relationship draws from their once shared histories. As part of the larger Indian sub-continent, Bangladesh-India relations are not viewed separately until 1947 with the partition of India. Pursuant to this, Bangladesh-India shared a common political history that separates only because of the high concentration of Muslim citizens in East Bengal. The history of their political relations under the separate Bangladesh-India nations naturally begins with the Bangladesh liberation in 1971. Bangladesh-India political relations have remained civil, especially when the secular Awami League controls Bangladesh, but some points of contention have risen in the last 40 years. After the partition of India, the Muslim nation of Pakistan–comprised of East Bengal (later East Pakistan) and Pakistan–began to split over several political issues. The formation of benevolent Bangladesh-India relations started with the pronouncement that East Pakistan would become a sovereign Bangladesh. India supported their liberation, sending troops and supplies to aid in their efforts. Bangladesh became an independent nation in 1972 and a Bangladesh-India political agreement was signed. Following the liberation, Bangladesh-India relations centered around their shared political beliefs and an Indian pledge to not meddle with the internal affairs of the now independent Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh-India political relationship draws from their once shared histories. Pursuant to this, Bangladesh-India shared a common political history that separates only because of the high concentration of Muslim citizens in East Bengal.

The leaders of Bangladesh and India, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Indira Gandhi respectively, swapped visits to illustrate a shared peace.
There have been some confrontations that threatened the Bangladesh-India political relations. Most of these have dealt with disagreements regarding resources and borders. One recent political liability between the two nations arose from killings at the Bangladesh-India border. Individuals trying to cross the border illegally often get intercepted by Indian border patrols. Many of these individuals are citizens of Bangladesh and the handling of these individuals by Indian forces causes some disagreement.

Disagreements over water supply has been another major political issue. Although treaties have been signed regarding the shared possession of these resources, Bangladesh claims that irrigation practices in West Bengal causes further flooding during monsoon season and a lesser amount during the dry season. Looking forward it appears that this issue will remain contentious but not threaten the overall Bangladesh-India political relationship.

A recent political milestone reached between India and Bangladesh came from a series of attacks from several terrorist camps working out of both countries. Rather than blaming one another, both nations ventured to create a unified front against the terrorist forces.

Bangladesh will always feel a certain amount of gratitude and respect for India because of their help during the liberation movement. Also, their shared histories tend to link Indian and Bangladeshi citizens more than normal bordering countries. With this in mind, it would appear the Bangladesh-India political relationship will endure their disagreements.
